Engine, Hydraulics and Drivetrain
A Kirloskar mechanical engine (EU Stage II, 96 HP) provides reliable power in tough conditions. The hydraulic system gives smooth, responsive control and strong breakout force across a wide range of applications.
Four-wheel drive is standard, with planetary front and rear gears for heavy-duty work. The wet disc service and parking brakes are oil-immersed. This limits contamination and extends service life.
Forward travel speeds reach 40 km/h, so operators can move safely and efficiently between sites. DB100AS-2KM machines come standard with a manual synchro shift transmission.

Operator Cabin, Comfort and Safety
The cabin is designed for visibility and easy control. A one-piece curved windscreen and large side glazing give a clear view. The sloped bonnet improves sight to the loader cutting edge.
The ROPS/FOPS-certified cab includes an adjustable steering column, suspension seat and ergonomic controls. An electric switch engages the parking brake from inside the cab. Optional climate control provides heating, defrosting and air conditioning.
The boom gives clear visibility into the trench. This helps when digging around buried obstructions such as utility lines, sewer pipes and water mains. An integrated safety bar and locking pin on the bucket cylinder add operator safety.
Smooth Ride Control and Precision Features
The optional Smooth Ride Control system reduces loader bounce on uneven terrain. Adjustable Flow Control optimises travel power on the highway. Pilot controls and telescopic dipper options add precision and versatility when digging.
Easy Servicing and Maintenance
A tilt-up hood gives unobstructed access to the engine compartment. Greasing points are reachable from ground level. A visible hydraulic oil sight gauge allows quick inspection, and a single-layer radiator cooling system simplifies cleaning.
Backhoe Loader Attachments for Diverse Applications
A wide range of purpose-designed attachments adds versatility.
- Loader options: general purpose and multi-purpose buckets, fork variants up to 1,200 kg, log forks, sugarcane grabbers, biomass buckets and a 600-litre concrete mixer
- Backhoe options: trench and light-duty buckets, and a hydraulic rock breaker rated for oil flows of 60 to 90 litres per minute
